Metal Rankings & Other Questions

Can I submit non-English language titles to the Infinite program?

Yes. Original content can be published in non-English languages. No direct translations of Paizo titles. Please include a short description in English on the product page.

What category filters should I select for my Infinite titles?

Category filters allow Pathfinder and Starfinder Infinite customers to find content relevant to their interests. It is essential that all authors use their best efforts to select only filters relevant to their titles and to limit the number of filters they select. This provides the best shopping experience for customers and ensures they find filters to be a helpful tool. (For example: A customer searching for Magic Items expects to see content specific to equipment and treasure and not location guides.)

Note: There is a minimum of 3 filters and a maximum of 8 filters per title.

What do the best-seller metals mean, and how do I earn a badge?

When one of your titles sells a certain number of units and reaches a designated threshold, it gets marked as a bestselling title on the relevant Roll20 site(s), including PathfinderInfinite.com and DriveThruRPG.com. This status is distinguished by badges marked with a type of precious metal. These bestseller badges are commonly referred to as “metal badges.”

As of March 26, 2020, all-metal rankings will be merged across all sites, as opposed to being counted uniquely per site. Starting on that date, no matter what Roll20 site you visit or where customers might have purchased your title, it will show the same metal ranking on all sites.

As we’ve made this change, we have also implemented one other, intended to limit recent abuses of the metal rankings system. From now on, in order for the purchase of a title to qualify for inclusion toward rankings, it must have sold for a minimum of $0.20 USD. Titles purchased at a lower sale price will not be counted. This change will be applied retroactively to all titles sold in the past, as well.

If you have recently passed the threshold and do not see a metal badge yet, please wait 24 hours before contacting publisher services; our servers sometimes need time to recalculate to award metal badges.

Here are the thresholds needed to earn each badge:

  • Copper: 51 units sold
  • Silver: 101
  • Electrum: 251
  • Gold: 501
  • Platinum: 1,001
  • Mithral: 2,501
  • Adamantine: 5,001

Will material be approved by Paizo before it is published?

There will not be an approval process by Paizo or Roll20, per se. However, if you’re found to be breaking our guidelines detailed in these FAQ, there will be repercussions. For example, your content might be pulled from the site, you might be ejected from Pathfinder and Starfinder Infinite as a content creator, or you might receive no payment for copies sold.

Is content from Infinite available for use in the Pathfinder or Starfinder Society campaigns?

Content published through the Infinite programs is not sanctioned for use in any Paizo Organized Play campaign. Adventures cannot be run for credit within our Organized Play campaigns, and any character options are not legal options for use in building characters in our official campaigns.

Can anyone rate my Infinite content?

Yes, Community Content Creators and Customers who do not have a Publishing Partner Account can rate a title after 24 hours of purchase. Those with Partner Accounts cannot rate titles at this time. Anyone can join the Discussion on your title page.
